Decreasing groundwater quality at Cisadane riverbanks: groundwater-surface water approach
The decreasing of groundwater quality has been the major issue in Tangerang area. One of the key process is the interaction between groundwater and Cisadane river water, which flows over volcanic deposits of Bojongmanik Fm, Genteng Fm, Tuf Banten, and Alluvial Fan. The objective of this study is to unravel such interactions based on the potentiometric mapping in the riverbank. We had 60 stop sites along the riverbank for groundwater and river water level observations, and chemical measurements (TDS, EC, temp, and pH). Three river water gauge were also analyzed to see the fluctuations.
We identified three types of hydrodynamic relationships with fairly low flow gradients: effluent flow at Segmen I (Kranggan - Batuceper) with 0.2-0.25 gradient, perched flow at Segmen II (Batuceper-Kalibaru) with gradient 0.2-0.25, and influent flow at Segmen III (Kalibaru-Tanjungburung) with gradient 0.15-0.20. Such low flow gradient is controlled by the moderate to low morphological slope in the area. The gaining and losing stream model were also supported by the river water fluctuation data. TDS and EC readings increased more than 40% from upstream to downstream. At some points the both measurements were two times higher than the permissible limits, along with the drops of pH values at those areas.
This study shows the very close interaction between Cisadane river water and groundwater in the riverbank. Therefore the authorities need to be managed the areas with a very strict regulations related to the small and large scale industries located near by the river.

This simulation plan aims to explain and document all steps to be taken in the simulation
analysis of the Fokker-100 case. This case is the scenario in which the aircraft touches the
ground during landing, introducing loads on the landing gear. The landing gear consists of
2 rear gears around mid-span and one in the front. Furthermore, the pilot uses the rudder
which induces a lateral force on the tail.
As stated in the assignment, it is required to find the maximum normal stress and location
of this in the fuselage, the maximum shear stress and its location in the fuselage, and the
maximum shear
flow in the frames that introduce the loads from the landing gears into the
fuselage.

Determining the Ratio of Specific Heats of\\ Gases using Adiabatic Oscillations
The ratios of specific heats, γ = (CP/CV), for three gases (air, argon and carbon dioxide) were calculated by measuring the oscillations of different masses in various apparatus. The experiments followed Rüchardt's and Rinkel's methods; a 100ml glass gas syringe was additionally used to extend the investigation as well as a technique to elimination of friction. The approaches and results were compared; the most accurate method (Rüchardt's method alongside compensation for friction) yielded:
Air, γ = 1.358 ± 0.0038
Argon, γ = 1.6597 ± 0.0009
Carbon dioxide, γ = 1.2996 ± 0.0087
These differ from the literature value by 3.0%, 0.6% and 1.5% respectively. The reasons for these apparent discrepancies are discussed.

We develop 3 term-based models(Naive tf, log tf, and BM25), unigram language model, and Pointwise
Online AdaGrad approach to select top 100 documents of each query. We use MIN((TP+FN),100) as
denominator when calculating AP. We also perform some methods in preprocessing and running stage to
obtain better MAP, as well less running time of the whole program. 2 rounds of scanning are needed in
our system.

O Incidente Do Falso Alarme Nuclear Soviético
This report describes a brief overview about the incident ocurred on the Soviet Union (URSS) In 1983. On this date their early warning radar indicated that a US missile was headed towards the URSS, but the alert was a system failure. No catastrophe did not happen because the radar operator was able to analyze the situation and realize that it was a system error. The human experience is even more important that the algorithms.
