ipl-isel-novathesis LaTeX Template A streamlined, fine-tuned version of the robust NOVAthesis framework, trimmed down for MSc dissertations at ISEL (Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa). It follows the school's official guidelines for final works, giving you the full power of the framework without the complexity of the multi-institution version. Key Features: ISEL-Ready: pre-configured with the correct margins, cover page, chapter style and fonts required by ISEL. Streamlined: files and settings for other universities and languages have been removed. Only Portuguese and English remain, making the template lighter and easier to navigate. Modern Academic Standards: AI Disclosure: integrated support for the Artificial Intelligence Disclosure Statement. SDGs: visual enumeration of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for modern research impact reporting. User-Friendly Design: optimized for both LaTeX beginners and power users, ensuring a clean and efficient workflow. New in v8.0: Faster Builds: significantly quicker compilation, most noticeably with pdfLaTeX. Modern Glossaries: glossaries, acronyms and symbols now use bib2gls.

This template provides a fully compliant, ready-to-use LaTeX setup for writing a Master’s Thesis (Dissertation, Project, or Internship Report) at Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL). Built according to the latest institutional standards set by the Technical-Scientific Council. The project features a modular structure with a dedicated class file (iselthesis.cls) that handles typography, 2.5 cm margins, 1.5 line spacing, and standard chapter hierarchy out of the box. It includes dedicated files for both official cover designs—the full-page orange grid cover (Anexo I) and the detailed title page containing jury members and affiliations (Anexo II)—alongside pre-formatted front matter for the Declaration of Integrity, Portuguese Resumo, English Abstract, and Acronyms list.

midcenturymodern is a Beamer template inspired by mid-century modern graphic design (1950s-60s). It comes in two colour schemes: Kraft, warm terracotta and kraft paper, and DeepBlue, dark navy with icy blue accents. They can be switched with a single line, \mcmTheme{Kraft} or \mcmTheme{DeepBlue}. Compile with LuaLaTeX. It uses three typefaces: TeX Gyre Adventor for titles and TeX Gyre Heros for text, free versions of Avant Garde Gothic (1970) and Helvetica (1957), with Universalis ADF on the title page. What's new v2.0.0 New typography throughout. Title page reworked graphically. Alert and example blocks redrawn: a title band over a tinted body, coloured from the scheme's accents. Frame titles can carry a subtitle. v1.1.0 The title page fits itself: type sizes and gaps scale to the amount of text, so a long title or author list stays on the slide. Blocks place themselves: stacking two, or setting one beside another in a column, no longer needs a manual \vspace. Hosted on GitHub. Read the introductory blog post. Released under CC BY 4.0.

This is a basic journal article template which includes metadata fields for multiple authors, affiliations and keywords. It is also set up to use the lineno package for line numbers; these can be turned on by adding the 'lineno' option to the documentclass command.

A modern simple (academic) CV template. With no colour, but a few different tabulars for visualizing your skills and cv events. The template has no colour, but adding logos to your events will still make it relatively colourful (and thus, not strictly classic, why I called it "modern"). You can play around with different fonts. The places where the changes can be made are indicated by comments. The fancy font for the name can be taken away, if you don't want it. The github repo is here: https://github.com/latex-ninja/modern-simple-cv

This is a gorgeous template for bioRxiv pre-prints. An example manuscript using it can be found here.
