Welcome To Our New Customer the European X-Ray Free Electron Laser (EuXFEL)
Mary Anne · December 1, 2020We’re excited to welcome the European X-Ray Free Electron Laser (EuXFEL) as a new Overleaf customer!
European X-Ray Free Electron Laser (EuXFEL) is now providing an Overleaf Enterprise subscription to all of their scientists on staff. This subscription gives everyone access to an Overleaf Professional Account, which allows use of all the Overleaf premium features in their research, writings, publishing and collaborations.
The European XFEL is a research facility of superlatives: It generates ultrashort X-ray flashes—27 000 times per second and with a brilliance that is a billion times higher than that of the best conventional X-ray radiation sources. The world's largest X-ray laser is opening up completely new research opportunities for scientists and industrial users. Using the X-ray flashes of the European XFEL, scientists will be able to map the atomic details of viruses, decipher the molecular composition of cells, take three-dimensional images of the nanoworld, film chemical reactions, and study processes such as those occurring deep inside planets.
“European XFEL scientists write scientific publications in collaboration with scientists at research institutes all over the world, and each publication can have many authors. Given that many of our scientists were already using the free version of Overleaf, it made sense for us to make the upgrade to an Enterprise subscription so that our scientists can collaborate more easily and with improved efficiency. We’ve had a really positive response so far, with some of our scientists reporting that they use Overleaf on a daily basis.”
